Ke$ha Hits The Desert For 'Your Love Is My Drug' Video

Ke$ha is gearing up to tour with Rihanna this summer, but not before taking time out to shoot the third video from her Animal album, "Your Love Is My Drug." The clip was filmed on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week and features Ke$ha hanging out in the California desert.

The video reportedly "follows Ke$ha on a fun journey through an animated world" and was shot in Lancaster, California. In it, Ke$ha is seen dancing and performing near sand dunes while wearing a khaki-colored bathing suit; she's also seen wrapped in what appears to be a fishing net.

While she was all by her lonesome during the sunset scenes, once the sun went down, she filmed a kissing scene with an unidentified guy next to a campfire. Later on, Ke$ha performed — under black lights while wearing body paint — near some giant rock boulders. The video follows up Ke$ha's other clips for her hits "Tik Tok" and "Blah Blah Blah."

Ke$ha actually worked with her mom, Pebe Sebert, on several Animal tracks, including "Your Love Is My Drug." She's previously described the track as one that delves into the sordid details of her love life. "I wrote a few songs with my mom, who's a sick writer, and taught me everything I know about songwriting," she said.

"My mom and I are best friends, so it really comes naturally. She taught me how to write my first song. I can also be really honest with her. We're like best friends and there are no really forbidden topics."

Nicki Minaj Pulls Out of Rihanna Tour

Only a couple days after announcing her slot on Rihanna’s “Last Girl on Earth” tour featuring Ke$ha, Nicki Minaj has pulled out so she can finish recording her album.

Lil Wayne’s protégée will no longer be joining the “Rude Boy” singer on the road. She revealed the news on Twitter, writing, “Barbz I’m sorry 2 say I will not be going out on RiRi’s tour. I’ve decided 2 use that time 4 the completion of my album. Hope u understand.”

A rep for the rapper confirmed the report to Rap-Up.com, saying, “She has to get her album completed, so the timing wasn’t right.”

Rihanna’s tour will continue without her. The trek kicks off in Seattle on July 2, making 25 stops at arenas across the U.S. and Canada, including the Staples Center and Madison Square Garden.

Nicki Minaj is prepping her Young Money debut with producers Swizz Beatz and Sean Garrett, among others. A video for the first single, “Massive Attack,” was released last week.

Lady GaGa 'Denies New Single Axed'

"Lady GaGa has dismissed rumours that new single 'Alejandro' has been scrapped in the US after poor feedback from radio station bosses.

The singer was alleged to have become embroiled in a row with her record label over the upcoming release. She wanted to issue the track ahead of the company's preferred song 'Dance In The Dark', Contactmusic reports.

The speculation was sparked following news that 'Alejandro' struggled to make an impact in other territories - entering the Canadian charts at number 78 and in Australia at number 49 - since its release earlier this month.

However, GaGa has now taken to Twitter to reassure fans that the track will be released, posting: "Alejandro is on the radio. F**k it sounds so good, we did it little monsters."

'Alejandro', the follow-up to her huge hit 'Telephone' with Beyoncé, is due out in the US on April 20."
